Founded by Kathy Humm, NTP HR brings a deep understanding of the construction industry and the people challenges that come with growing a business. NTP HR works with general contractors, trade partners, owners’ representatives, vendors, and industry associations, while also supporting organizations beyond construction that are ready to take a more strategic approach to their people.

About the Founder

Meet Kathy Humm

Kathy Humm, founder of Notice to Proceed HR (NTP HR), brings a unique combination of construction business experience, strategic HR expertise, and leadership development to the industry.

Having spent years in construction leadership, Kathy understands that building a successful company takes more than great projects—it takes strong leaders, engaged people, and a clear people strategy.

Today, Kathy partners with owners and senior leaders as a strategic HR advisor and Fractional CHRO, helping them develop their people, strengthen their teams, solve complex people challenges, and build organizations positioned for sustainable growth.

Kathy is deeply involved in the construction industry and currently serves as 2026 Chair of the Board for ABC Metro Washington, in addition to her involvement with industry and workforce development organizations.

Beyond the Business

Kathy is a proud mother of four, including a child with learning disabilities—an experience that has given her a personal appreciation for the importance of understanding and supporting individual needs.

She values family, relationships, faith, health, and giving back and enjoys time with her husband, their blended family, extended family, and friends.
